"Crazy Smart" is my young adult graphic novel project.
The year is 2010. Emma is a 15-year-old girl, whose family just moved from her childhood home in Seattle, to a fixer-upper house in the rural forests of the Pacific Northwest.
She's not just adjusting to a new home- she's also adjusting to being a full-time college student. After years of struggling in math, almost overnight, she discovers a gift for it.
And then- she discovers the crash site in the forest behind her house. Three robots emerge, in need of repair and a guide to life on Earth. After years of feeling like an alien among her peers, she finds kinship in aliens discovering Earth for the first time.
